Help / Setup
Importing your trades
Bring in trades from Sharesight, CommSec, SelfWealth, Stake, Pearler and other brokers, or from contract-note PDFs.
From Sharesight
- In Sharesight, open your portfolio and go to Reports → All Trades.
- Set the date range to cover everything, then export it as a CSV (spreadsheet) file.
- In Franked, open Trades and click Import CSV, then choose the file.
- Check the preview, then click import. Duplicates are skipped, so it's safe to import again later.
From your broker
Download your transaction or trade history as a CSV from CommSec, SelfWealth, Stake, Pearler or most other brokers, then import it the same way. The importer recognises the common column layouts. If your file isn't recognised, send it to us via Contact support and we'll add it.
From contract notes (PDFs)
- Open Trades and click Contract notes.
- Drop in one or more contract-note PDFs, or paste the text of trade confirmation emails.
- Check each trade it finds and click to add them.
After importing
- Dividends, splits and most corporate actions fill in automatically.
- For demergers and takeovers, check the Trades page; use Corporate action to record any that are missing, using the cost base split from the company's letter.
- Unlisted assets (property, private shares, gold) can be added with Unlisted investment.
