Getting started with Franked
Create your account and add your first shares in five minutes.
1. Create your account
- Go to franked.au/signup.
- Choose Investor (your own shares, free) or Accountant or adviser (clients' portfolios, 14-day free trial).
- Enter your name, email and a password, or click Continue with Google.
2. Add your shares
You have three options. Pick whichever is quickest for you:
- Import: on the Trades page click Import CSV and upload a Sharesight "All Trades" export or your broker's transaction history. See Importing your trades.
- Contract notes: on the Trades page click Contract notes and drop in the PDFs from your broker.
- By hand: click Add trade, search for the share or ETF (for example "VAS" or "CBA"), and enter the date, quantity, price and brokerage.
3. Look around
- Overview: your portfolio value, performance against a benchmark, and every holding.
- Income: every dividend and distribution, worked out from what you held on each ex-date.
- Tax: your myTax figures, capital gains and a before-you-lodge checklist.
- Reports: performance, diversity, future income, multi-period and more.
4. Tell it about your tax situation (optional)
In Settings, fill in the Tax profile (your other income and entity type, such as individual or SMSF) so the tax estimate on the Tax page is accurate.
Prices come from market data and can be delayed by up to 20 minutes. Dividends we calculate are marked as estimates until you confirm them against your statement.
